Serological test is a qualitative test to point out traces of specific antibodies (IgM and IgG) for SARS-CoV-2 virus in the patient’s blood. 

The test takes place in an especially designed structure, just outside the pharmacy (on via Scipioni), built to protect both the employee executing the test and the customer. It is a completely safe procedure, that obtained the DPI certificate (certificate of individual protection), just as FFP2 and FFP3 masks, etc.

The kit we use to perform the tests are of the highest quality and  have a high accuracy rate: 90,11% of sensitivity, 98,46% of specificity and 95,31% of accuracy (click here to download the certified document which specifies all the particulars of the test).
Results have a quick turn around time, usually under 30 minutes.

Serological test is extremely useful for population studies, to evaluate the presence of the virus in the population and for those who wants to know if they contracted the infection (recently or in the past) and have developed the antibodies.

You must make a reservation to be tested, both on-line and in the pharmacy. The day of the test the patient must go directly to the structure, with proper ID , i.e.,such an an ID card or Passport. Upon the arrival the patient will be given an information form and consent to testing, which must be filled in and signed (click here to see the form).
Maximum punctuality is strongly recommended.

Positive results from this test (for IgM) must be reconfirmed by a molecular test (PCR). In this case, the patient must be isolated until the result of PCR.
